What is the Vermont 100 Endurance Race?

Celebrating its 35th edition this year, the Vermont 100 Endurance Race is one of America’s oldest 100-milers and boasts one of the sport’s richest histories. It is part of the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning and it is the only remaining 100-miler on the planet that still includes a concurrent horse race.

Since 1989, endurance athletes have gathered from around the world to test their limits on the Vermont 100's iconic course, featuring an unrelenting assault of rolling hills and 17,000 total feet of vertical climbing. Winding over country roads, through forested trails, and beside pastoral farmlands, racers are supported by an amazing local community, rockstar volunteers, and treated to breathtaking views of the southern Green Mountains.

The Vermont 100 is also proud to be the largest annual fundraiser for Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through sports and recreation.

Located in West Windsor, Vermont, the race takes place July 17–19, 2026.
