"I have 4 other high country shorts and absolutely love the, though they vary a bit in sizing. I use my high country for everything from work to hiking and ultra running. These are not an improvement in my opinion. They run very small compared to previous. Waist to waist comparison is about 1” difference cause them to ride down as I climb. Brief as well as fly area is less than previous model and cause restrictions I’m not a fan of. The matter is less flexible and less breathable. I obviously won’t return them after I have worn them on a few outings as well as treadmill. I will keep them as an alternate short around town."
