Favorite quote:  "Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat." - Theodore Roosevelt

Nickname:  Rach (to my siblings), Rachey (to my parents), and Baba (to my husband, John Schilkowsky)

Birthday:  April 15, 1992

Favorite movie:  "Miracle"

Proudest accomplishment:  Finding balance between running and engineering while at Cornell University. In the fall of my junior year I earned NCAA DI All-American honors for the first time. That semester was also the first one where I made Dean's List by having a GPA over 3.50. Over the course of my final three semesters I made Dean's List three more times, and earned another four All-American honors. Having those two very different but equally important parts of my life in sync with one another was so incredibly satisfying, and is something I still strive for today.

Goal for 2018:

  • Finish Top-10 in a USATF Championship race
  • Set PRs in every distance from the mile to the half marathon
  • Have a successful marathon debut
