How did you feel when you qualified? What was that experience like? I felt relieved when I qualified for the trials! It was my first marathon ever and there was a point in the race where I thought I didn't have enough in the tank to cross the finish line in under 2:18. I rounded the final corner and I saw the clock ticking, showing me that I had a few seconds to spare. It was such a great feeling knowing that the work that was put in before and during the race all paid off in that one moment.

What dream are you chasing at the Trials? At the Trials, I'll be chasing my dream of being one of the top American distance runners. Ever since my senior year of high school I've been striving to become good enough to compete on a national level. I've competed on a national level a few times, but the Olympic Trials marathon is still a huge step up and I couldn't be more excited!
