We’re excited to bring back our rabbit x Trail Society scholarship program to support underrepresented runners at the 2026 Javelina Jundred weekend. Trail and ultra running have high barriers to entry, and there’s still a lack of representation from many communities. This scholarship is one small way we hope to help change that and open the door for more runners to be part of the sport.

Last year, we had the privilege of getting to know our scholarship recipients, Daisy and Clarivel, following their journeys as they trained for and raced at Javelina. We’re excited to extend this opportunity to two more runners as they prepare for and take on the race this year.

What You’ll Receive

We will select two recipients, one for each distance:

• Entry into the Javelina 31K or Javelina 100K

• Travel and lodging support

• Training gear and a full race kit from rabbit

• Ongoing community support throughout your training journey

• Trail Society will provide coaching support (unless you already have a coach).

Who Should Apply

• Runners from underrepresented communities in trail and ultra running

• Athletes interested in racing the Javelina 31K or 100K. Newer trail runners are encouraged to apply for the 31k. More experienced runners are encouraged to apply for the 100K.

Sharing Your Journey

This scholarship is about more than just getting to the start line. Recipients will be encouraged to share their journey leading up to race day and will have access to special office hours with the Trail Society Podcast hosts to talk through training, nutrition, racing, and more. We’re here to support you.

We can’t wait to hear your story. Applications are open now through July 29th. Winners will be contacted by email by August 5th.
