"Skeptic I am. 20 years of running Ultras ago I'd run every famous shoe and doubted this shoe would surprise. Let me explain how this shoe is better. But first its weakness: Like any thick sole that puts you up that high, running laterally to the fall line in a boulder field made of rocks about softball size? That is where I really notice the height of the sole and the need to totally focus on foot placement and balance. This limitation is typical for all shoes putting your feet high off the ground. And now for the features that make this shoe my favorite. A 50+ mile race teaches you that your feet swell, and your toes slam the end of any shoe size you would wear in a dress suit. I can wear a 9, I run in a 10. 5 so that Ive got a full thumb's width to the END of the toe box. Conundrum is. . . . . many ultra shoes must be laced painfully tightly to prevent your foot from sliding. Take a look at the laces on this shoe, they are woven through the tongue, AND they are closely spaced and go all the way to the top of the tongue. Then the footbed has this spongy no slip liner that another footbed goes on top of! Result is amazing, your heel cup fit is loose to firm, but as you run down hill there is NO sliding forward, no toes slamming the end of the box! If you love a thicker cushy sole, like original HOKAs or the Ultra Olympus This is in that zone, seems lighter. Materials seem far sturdier as well. The rocker on the toe end of the shoe gives a natural feeling gait; you are not falling over your toes. I figured Rabbit makes nice clothes; shoes are more technical, could they do a shoe well? Yes they have. This shoe has exceeded in comfort all previous ultra running shoes I've tried."

"I bought these mid last year to add to my rotation. Including 2 trips to the Grand Canyon, I didn't retire these until this morning at 270 miles! I typically get 220-250 miles out of a pair with this same price point. I love the gripping insole in these and all day comfort."

Size up a 1/2 size for the perfect hiking shoe!
"I found the toe box to be narrow in my standard size 10. 5. Exchanged them for size 11 and the size up worked perfect! Incredibly comfortable and the cushion in the shoe/foam really makes for a nice pair of hiking shoes. The soles and also the shoe insert have great grip to keep your foot from sliding around. I also love the colors these are offered in. Highly recommend these shoes!"
