BENEATH THE RIM
7 runners. 42 miles. One grand adventure.
One canyon, together. Endless opportunities to push your limits. Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim is a coveted challenge in the ultra-running world. It’s simple in theory: start at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, descend into the depths, cross the Colorado River, climb up the North Rim—then turn around and do it all again.
42 miles. Over 11,000 feet of gain. Brutal, beautiful, and bound to reveal who you are. In the words of Angel, Navajo runner and community organizer, “everyone who runs Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim will know this place—and it will know them.”
It's not a race. There are no medals. Just you, the canyon, and the people you choose to journey with.
So, we ran it together. This is what it looked like.
