Proudest accomplishment: My optimistic outlook after breaking my leg this winter. Yes I was scared. Yes I was in my peak fitness. Yes I had Nationals in one month. But after that first night to process, cry, and let go...I started with a plan to look forward. To do what I could each day to come back stronger. And shock people along the way who said I wouldn't be racing in a year, who said I had a long road ahead of me, and who said negative outcomes and goals. And I was running in two months, racing in 5 months, and placing in National Championships in 7 months. All along the way strengthening mentally as well as strengthening physically. And dancing and smiling the whole way! Even when I was single-leg rowing...
Goals for 2018: Keep getting stronger and challenging myself to tackle new race distances. I am planning to make my road ultra debut in South Africa for Two Oceans (35 miles) in March and Comrades (56 miles) in June. The very challenging downhill course of Comrades is my main focus for 2018! I hope to translate my road speed to the ultra world.
Favorite rabbit gear and why: I love the catch me if you can shorts! The wide waist band, materials, cut, style...All made for movement without anything added that isn't comfortable or just there for fads. Looks great and moves great while feeling great! The triple threat! #winning
