rabbit is excited to offer a coaching program for our RADrabbit and rabbitELITE partner athletes. The program, run by rabbitPRO Brandon Birdsong, has something to offer for runners of all abilities. With two tiers of engagement, athletes are free to choose the level of direction and interaction that will work best for them.   

the coach

Brandon Birdsong is excited to serve as the first RADrabbit running coach. An elite distance runner and rabbitPRO, Brandon qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Los Angeles in 2016. 

Brandon was one of the top high school runners in Texas before garnering multiple college All-American honors in cross country and track and field at Adams State College in Colorado. After college, Brandon ran with the American Distance Project and most recently the Mammoth Track Club.

In an effort to improve his training and prevent injury, Brandon became interested in studying the science behind different training methodologies and graduated with a bachelors of science in exercise physiology. He has been involved in all facets of running, including event management, coaching and working for major running brands in addition to his 10-year career as a competitive runner.

He has worked with several of the top coaches across the U.S. and developed his own eclectic training approach that focuses on an individual’s particular needs. Brandon strives to make training new and fun, while helping others to reach their full potential.

He lists Damon Martin, Joe Vigil, Scott Simmons, Jason Vigilante, Quent Bearden, Andrew Kastor and Deena Kastor as mentors and cannot wait to start meeting new rabbit runners soon.

Weekly phone call to review training and progression at a time convenient for you

Unlimited communication through text, phone and email

Unlimited schedule edits depending on workouts, performance, stress levels and other non-running factors

Skilled evaluation of heart rate, exertion effort, power, and training zones

Goal-specific strength training suggestions

Travel to key event of clients’ choice (travel and lodging paid by client)
