Weaving our weeks together through the rhythmic pattern of long runs, speed work, easy pace, and rest - running takes on unique forms and meanings for each of us. Beyond our goals to PR, complete our first 5k, or simply get out of the house, many of us sense deeper dreams behind our practice. Maybe it’s to experience freedom and playfulness amidst the hardships of daily life. Perhaps it's building inclusion as you invite more people into the sport. Every finish line is different, and each one is to be celebrated.

When Jill and Monica started rabbit in 2016, they relentlessly pursued their dreams to build a brand with the highest quality running gear. Beyond that, they envisioned a community that celebrates one another’s goals and unique relationships to the sport. Inspired by runners of all levels, they ultimately built a community of dreamers. “No matter how big or small, attainable or lofty your goal is, I think everyone is a Dream Chaser,” explains Jill. “Whether training for your first marathon or finding relief from your crazy family, everyone’s dream is powerful in its own right.”
“It goes back to why we started the brand,” says Monica. “It’s even in the name. A rabbit is a race pacesetter: someone who champions the competitors by leading them through splits and pushing the pace – quietly stepping out before the finish line, they do it for the love of running and supporting the goals of others.”
In their own lives, Monica and Jill understand the power of aspirations. As women who have experienced a deep sense of empowerment and connection through the sport, they believe having a dream is incredibly personal: it gives a light to follow, be excited by, and feel fulfilled through. “We have different motivations, but the overarching connection is that we are all chasing something. Hearing other runners’ stories gets me fired up,” says Jill excitedly. “There is power in the collective. The power lies in simply having the dream.”

We are excited to introduce our Dream Chaser Series: monthly stories about individuals who dream on their own terms. In honor of our unique running practices and our collective aspirations, we hope you’ll be inspired by the stories we tell.
